Content of the course: This course should enable the students to use their knowledge of town planning and

urban design in the practice. The students should be able to recognize and solve the basic problems of urban

design by a multifunctional planning site. They should be able to detect aims and possibilities of urban

development.

For this course an actual planning site will be given. The students work out a project of urban design.

This project will be presented and discussed in the exercises with the mentors and other students.

During the course the students also finish essays about some partial problems of the project.

There are three levels of the project: planning concept, urban circuit concept and final

project of architectural and urban design. At the end of the course the students present their final projects.
